A mass rally supporting Tatmadaw (defence services) in conjunction with denouncing external interference was held in Hinthada on December 9.

“I am a former war veteran. We support Tatmadaw as it protected live and property of the people in the successive eras and it serviced interest of the State and its people. For that reason, I believe in Tamadaw for the State’s defence and security. We expressed our desire for Tamadaw. Now external interferences are penetrating into the country. We are opposed to external interferences and so we support Tatmadaw,” said Major Than Win (Retired).

The mass rally was organized by the Chairman of Supervisory Committee for War Veterans representing Ayeyawady Region. More than 600 supporters including the war veterans from the respective townships in Hinthada District actively participated in the event.

The supporters made a protest march to Hit-taing, holding placards writing “We don’t totally accept the biased report of Fact-Finding Commission of the biased United Nations”, “We don’t want ARHR’s report,” We support Tatmadaw”, “We are opposed to external interferences”, “We don’t accept everything oppressing Tatmadaw”, “Only if Tatmadaw is able, will the country become peaceful,” We totally denounce Facebook interfering in our internal affairs”, “We fully support Tatmadaw”, and “May the Tatmadaw loving the people and the Tatmadaw the people love meet with success.”
