Clashes broke out between the Tatmadaw and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in three places in Muse and Kutkai towns on August 29, announced the news and information department of PSLF/TNLA.

On the morning of August 29, there was a fight between the Tatmadaw and the TNLA near Nathang and near Selang Village in the evening. In addition, a battle took place in the afternoon of the same day near Khomoeng Village in Kutkai Township, announced PSLF/TNLA's news and information department.

As the Tatmadaw launched an offensive attack, TNLA launched counter-offensive to Muse town and an army base in Selang and Nampheka in Kutkai Township the same day, announced the news and information department of PSLF/TNLA.

According to PSLF/TNLA's the news and information department, some residents and the houses of Selang Village were hurt and damaged due to heavy artillery fire during the battle, and the residents had to flee from the fighting.

From August 1 to 29, there were a total of 18 clashes between the Tatmadaw and the TNLA.
