Inlay Floating Thingyan Festival with performances of vocalists and traditional songs and dances will be held in front of Inle Cultural Heritage Trust Complex in Shan State from April 13 to 17.
At the festival, famous vocalists such as Tin Zar Maw, Chan Chan, Irene Zin Mar Myint and Po Me will sign songs.
"I will spend this year's Thingyan Festival in Inlay region by participating in the first Inlay Floating Thingyan programme. We would be very happy because the event depicts cultural heritage of the region. I plan to sign a lot of songs," said vocalist Chan Chan.
The floating festival will commence on April 13 with traditional ethnic dances and songs and other entertainment programmes. Moreover, Mister & Miss Inle contest and free food distribution will be included. Twenty one large rafts will be used in the festival.
