India repatriates 38 Myanmar prisoners detained in Imphal prison

A total of 38 Myanmar nationals who have served sentences for various reasons in India and were detained in Imphal prison have been repatriated to Myanmar, sources said.

The remaining 38 Myanmar nationals detained in Imphal prison, Manipur State after serving their sentences, were first transported by helicopter from Moreh, Manipur State to on June 11 and they were brought back home through the international border entry and exit gate of Tamu city with the cooperation of Myanmar and India.

In relation to these processes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Myanmar Embassy in New Delhi has coordinated with relevant organizations in Manipur through the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
