Thai task force arrests 19 Myanmar workers in illegal entry operation

According to local Thai news reports, 19 Myanmar workers who had illegally entered Thailand in a pickup truck were arrested by a special task force in Rajamanu on the night of June 17.

The Special Task Force at Ratchamanu, part of Infantry Battalion 422, was conducting surveillance operations when they arrested the 19 Myanmar workers. The task force was inspecting the three districts of Ban Muen Ruechai, Phop Phra, and Tak when they intercepted a suspicious pickup truck entering the town. Although the driver escaped by jumping into the Thaungyin River, the task force managed to arrest the illegal entrants.

Thai authorities reported that military personnel searched for and arrested the foreign nationals. The confiscated pickup truck and the 19 Myanmar nationals were handed over to the relevant police station for legal action, according to the news from Thailand.
