The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) has initiated the sale of Shwebo Pawsan, Ayeyawady Pawsan, and Aemahta rice at budget-friendly prices for consumers in the Yangon Region. 

In collaboration with the Myanmar Rice Millers Association, Myanmar Rice and Paddy Growers Association, Wardan Rice Warehouse, and Bayintnaung Rice Warehouse, the MRF is offering rice bags at Yangon’s Wahdan Rice Warehouse and Bayintnaung Rice Warehouse from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, starting on June 24.

This sale is aimed at public consumption, allowing each household to purchase one bag of Pawsan rice and one bag of Aemahta rice per month. 

Buyers must present a photocopy of the household member list and the citizenship scrutiny card of a listed household member to make a purchase. 

Notably, rice will not be sold to retail sellers.
