Groundwork to start earlier next year for Nyaunghnabin Industrial Complex

Groundwork will start in early 2020 to implement Nyaunghnabin Industrial Zone project on over 555 acres of land in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region, according to the Ministry of Construction.

"MIC (Myanmar Investment Commission) has granted us a permit. WE will sign an agreement on Nyaunghnabin project next two months. We will start ground work earlier next year," said a top official from the ministry told The Daily Eleven.

MIC granted permission for the Nyaunghnabin Industrial Zone project during its meeting No (3/2019). With a joint investment by Korea and Myanmar, KMIC Development Co Ltd will implement Development Operation of Industrial Complex (Phase-1) in Kyain Village-tract in Hlegu Township.

"In this place where the National Convention was held, we are planning to open training schools for agriculture and livestock breeding. We are doing preparatory work. Meanwhile, we are trying to establishing an industrial complex under the cooperation between Korea and the Construction Ministry. We will also try to establish vocational schools," said Yangon Region Chief Minister Phyo Min Thein at the eighth regular meeting between Vice President (1) and local businesspeople.
