MAI operates flights from Yangon to Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) is operating from Yangon to Bangkok 56 times a week, from Yangon to Phuket twice a week, and the new Yangon-Chiang Mai route three times a week and flights tickets will be available starting at US$59.

The MAI is operating the Yangon-Seoul flight every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and flights tickets will be available starting at US$283.

A new ATR 72-600 aircraft has arrived at the airline in order to increase the frequency of flights between Myanmar and ASEAN countries in the region.

The first ATR 72-600 aircraft to join the fleet of MAI arrived on the afternoon of March 24, 2024, and was welcomed with a water spray ceremony at Yangon International Airport.

The arrival of the new aircraft is in line with MAI's ongoing mission to increase aircraft and service standards to meet the needs of the travellers.

With the arrival of this additional ATR 72-600 aircraft, MAI's fleet will now reach a total of 12 aircrafts.

The fleet consists of four A-319 aircrafts, four A-320 aircrafts, two E-190 aircrafts, a B733-300F aircraft (operating on an ACMI basis) and the newly arrived ATR 72-600 aircraft.

Currently, it flies to 30 towns in Myanmar and 11 foreign countries, and aims to expand to 14 foreign countries by the end of the second quarter of 2024.

MAI plans to launch new international flights to Chiang Mai in Thailand, Vientiane in Laos and Dhaka in Bangladesh in 2024.
