Three men were killed when they snatched a gun from a security forces member while the security forces were interrogating the locals as they found sandbag bunkers and hiding holes made of sandbags in some homes in Byine Phyu Village, Sittway City, Rakhine State and 25 suspects are being questioned regarding the issues that happened in the village, announced the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC).

The SAC information team made a response to the BBC's inquiry regarding reports that about 40 dead bodies were found after security forces raided Byine Phyu Village, Sittway City, Rakhine State and about 100 local men were arrested.

When the security forces were working to ensure the peace and stability of the area near Kan Pyin Village, old Kan Pyin Village and Byine Phyu Village on May 30, sandbag bunkers, hiding holes made of sandbags and sandbags collected to make bunkers were found in some houses in Byine Phyu Village after receiving a tip-off from the locals. While the villagers were being interrogated, three men who were not from the village (under investigation) took the weapon from one of the security forces and they were killed when the security forces fired at them to make them frighten.

According to the press release, 25 suspects are being interrogated in accordance with the law by members of the security forces.
