The announcement was released after NSCN-K member Kyaw Wan Sein said the army invaded and occupied the headquarters of the NSCN-K.

Four news agencies from India quoted that a security team under the supervision of the army from Assam State arrested nine members of National Democratic Front of Boroland – Sangbijit (NDFB-S) along with weapons and ammunitions near Jagun Village, Tinsukia District near the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh state. Myanmar does not allow and accept any armed insurgent groups from neighboring countries to take up base. It was also stated that the army found that the NSCN-K had violated Article 1, Sub-sections c, d and e of the agreement with the regional government.

The army will not allow any armed groups based in India to use Naga self-administered zone and the army will conduct operations to instill rules and regulations in the area.
