57 confiscated fishing vessels up for grabs in competitive auction

The Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is offering 57 confiscated fishing vessels for sale through a competitive auction system.

The vessels are located across various districts: 7 in Kawthaung District, 5 in Bokpyin District, 15 in Myeik District, 23 in Pyapon District and 2 in Yangon Region.

Those interested in participating can purchase an application form for 5,000 kyats between March 8 and 25, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, at the Department of Fisheries headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw (No. 36).

Potential buyers are encouraged to contact their regional Fisheries Departments to arrange inspections of the vessels' condition before bidding.

The auction itself will be held on March 29 at the Department of Fisheries headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw. To participate, bidders must submit a deposit along with a Payment Order Check (P.O.) from Myanmar Economic Bank to the auction committee by March 26.
