16 Private Schools banned in Nay Pyi Taw: Basic Education Department

NAYPYITAW-----The Department of Basic Education reported that 16 private schools in Nay Pyi Taw must be shut down due to involvement of the politic.

Among 16 closed private schools, seven schools which reported to increase schools’ licenses but those private schools were found to have involvement in the politic. The remaining of nine schools has not been expired yet.

So, the Department of Basic Education already informed the schools owners that 16 private schools must be shut down and their schools’ licenses also must be terminated.

The closure of private schools are Pyinnyar Lwin-2 and three private schools including Maha Pyinnyar from Zabuthiri Township, CAE, Myint Myat Aung Kaung Htet San and Victorious Land in Oatta Thiri Township and two private schools in Pubathiri Township.

Moreover, four private schools including FELC school from Pyinmana Township and Pyinnar Htoo Chun school from Tatkone Township as well as Pyinnar Lwin private school in Dhakhina Thiri Township and a private school in Zeyar Thiri Township were banned in accordance with the involvement of the politic.

Among a closure of private schools, Maha Pyinnyar, CAE and Pyinnyar Lwin private schools are very popular with the students and parents.

Similarly, Myat Pyinnyar Eain private school which has no license and other two private schools that applied to shut down the schools were banned, according to the Department of Basic Education.

The Ministry of Education announced that school enrollment date for 2022-2023 Academic Year begins in May 26th to June 1st for basic education students.
