The Myanmar Embassy in Malaysia has warned its workers to keep documents with them as the Malaysian government is carrying out Operasi operation checks across the country.

The Malaysian government has established measures aimed at eliminating foreigners who are illegally present in the country and is speeding up Operasi operations throughout the country. Myanmar citizens who are working in Malaysia should pay attention during this period, and if they have to travel, they should carry their passports and necessary documents with them so that they can be presented during Operasi operations, the Myanmar Embassy announced.

In addition, those who want to deceive Myanmar citizens regarding the issues of passport renewal/new passport and C of I application are using Facebook and Tiktok to spread false information. It has been found that incorrect writings and statements are being distributed and these social media pages are not related to the embassy. It will take legal action against those who cheat Myanmar citizens, announced the Myanmar Embassy.

Passport issues of Myanmar nationals, C of I issuance and supporting letters are being processed on the same day for those who have made an appointment at www.mekl.org in accordance with the instructions, announced the Myanmar Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia is one of the countries where most Myanmar migrant workers go to work.

The Immigration Department received a report that there are foreigners living illegally near the Jim u Sentul area, and conducted an operation at 1 am on May 28 to find 123 foreigners. Among them, they found 95 illegal Myanmar nationals, announced the Malaysian government.
