A seven-year-old child was injured in an artillery explosion in Myakantha Village, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region, according to sources.

On March 21, 2025, at around 12:30 PM, the child was taken to Mandalay General Hospital with injuries caused by the explosion. Security forces launched an investigation following reports of the incident.

The explosion occurred when PDF forces fired heavy artillery, resulting in shells landing and detonating within the village. The injured child was identified as Maung Myo Myint Kyaw (7 years old).
