More vehicles carrying government-provided relief supplies have arrived in Falam and Hakha townships in Chin State.

The convoy transported basic food items, consumer goods, school and office supplies, medicines and medical equipment, construction materials, and other assistance items intended to support the rehabilitation of Falam and improve the livelihoods of local ethnic communities in Falam, Hakha, and surrounding areas.

The supplies were initially airlifted by Tatmadaw aircraft from Yangon and Mandalay to Kalay for distribution to civil servants and local residents in the region. They were subsequently transported by road from Kalay to Falam and Hakha on June 4.

Accompanied by departmental personnel, the vehicles reached Falam on the evening of June 4 and Hakha on the afternoon of June 5. Officials from the respective townships welcomed the convoy upon arrival. The relief items, including foodstuffs and consumer goods, will be distributed to local residents through the relevant authorities.

The supplies are expected to help meet the livelihood, healthcare, and educational needs of departmental staff, local ethnic communities, and students, while also contributing to the rehabilitation of towns and villages. The government will continue to provide further assistance in line with the needs of the region, according to reports.
