President U Min Aung Hlaing stated that Myanmar faces severe setbacks and a significant loss of human resources when young citizens seek employment abroad, urging youth to use their education to serve and develop their homeland instead.

Speaking at an awards ceremony for outstanding matriculation and vocational students in Nay Pyi Taw on August 31, he emphasized the importance of staying abreast of technological advancements, particularly in the digital economy and artificial intelligence. He encouraged youth to engage in science- and tech-based entrepreneurship, use the internet constructively, and cultivate knowledge through extensive reading to foster sound critical thinking and strong moral character.

Highlighting the recent establishment of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the President affirmed the government's commitment to supporting the younger generation. He called on students to uphold the rule of law, preserve Myanmar's cultural heritage, and actively contribute their skills toward building a modern, developed nation.
