Necessary preparations must be made in advance to ensure orderly, free and fair elections in the future, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC).
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing added the above in a meeting with MSME entrepreneurs on October 4 at Sri Chetira Yadanapone Town Hall in Pyay, Bago Region.
In the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that they had to carry out their national duties because of voter fraud in the 2020 election. He said that he had been giving warnings since before the election. He said that the leaders of the government were asked to postpone the election in order to prevent the health condition of the people from worsening, as the period of the election is the period of the outbreak of the Covid-19 disease, but they did not postpone it.
Before the election, election period and during the period when the voting lists were released, riots and protests occurred due to the ruling government's dishonest actions to gain an advantage in votes, vote fraud, political conflicts and armed violence. The SAC is maintaining and operating in accordance with the 2008Constitution. Riots and violence were controlled only in accordance with the law. He said that he had met with the relevant government officials to resolve the election frauds that had occurred, but there was no solution, and they planned to call the Hluttaw to seize the power of the state by force, so he had to carry out his national duty, he said.
In addition, the SAC was formed with the military and civil equitably. Economic decline caused by the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic and the subsequent political problems of election fraud. He said that they were able to overcome Covid-19 disease, economic recession and violence by working together and cooperating with the government, people and the Tatmadaw. The country faced this situation due to voter fraud and necessary preparations must be made in advance to ensure orderly, free and fair elections in future elections, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said.
