It is impossible to see peace starting point in Rakhine State, said Dr Nyo Tun Aung, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Arakan Army (AA) on June 28.

The move came from the reply of Dr Nyo Tun Aung who is going to attend the 30th Anniversary Peace Celebration to be held in Mongla, the special region in east Shan State, to the question of the reporters about the peace in Rakhine State.

"The starting point of peace is disappearing in Rakhine State, said Dr Nyo Tun Aung.

The reporters asked if there was a plan to hold a meeting between the NRPC and the Northern Alliance. Dr Nyo Tun Aung replied that time and venue are under negotiation.

"We are still negotiating time and venue after April 30. It takes for one month. The venue we want to hold the meeting is not the same as the one the NRPC does. We can't see the result for the venue. Mongla will hold its 30th Anniversary of Peace Celebration. We will not change our original stance. We will meet in Pangsang or Muse or somewhere in China," said Dr Nyo Tun Aung.

The government delegates have already arrived in the special region 4 of Mongla in east Shan State to attend the 30th Anniversary of Peace Celebration.

"We come to here to attend the 30th Anniversary of Peace Celebration. If we have a chance, we will meet. But all four EAOs of the Northern Alliance are not ready yet. The KIO sent only the representative to attend  the 30th Anniversary of Peace Celebration. The KIA sent different groups-- one to participate in the peace dialogue and another to attend the meeting. Therefore, it may face difficulties to continue the discussion. It will be just a style of drinking plain tea rather than informal meeting," said Dr Nyo Tun Aung.

The representatives of the NRPC met the Northern Alliance formed with the KIO, the AA, the MNDAA and the TNLA in Muse on April 30.

The NRPC proposed three venues--Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw and Myitkyina to meet with the Northern Alliance to discuss bilateral agreement. The Northern Alliance proposed Kunming of China and Pangsang and finally Muse, said Zaw Htay, the spokesperson of the President Office.

Tatmadaw has given guarantee of fully security for ensuring that  the meeting of the NRPC and the Northern Alliance will be held successfully. AA's venue reason causes a delay to peace process, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Secretary of Tatmadaw True News Information Team.

The government and Tatmadaw already negotiated matters relating to bilateral agreement to some degree, Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun told the Daily Eleven newspaper.
