Yangon Watch founder Nyo Nyo Thin said unless the original report of the Auditor General is submitted during the 11th regular meetings of Yangon Region Parliament, a complaint will be sent to the President together with evidential documents.

She said someone might have restricted sending the audit report of Yangon Region for 2017-2018 fiscal year to members of parliament except the Public Accounts Committee although it went to the regional parliament in July 2019.

"If nothing special happens at the parliament that will resume its regular meetings on January 8, we will raise the issue with the President submitting all evidential documents. We will send the evidence we have acquired to the President. We will be waiting two weeks. If nothing happens after two weeks, we will complain to the officials concerned in accord with the law," said Nyo Nyo Thin.

She expressed her hope that the political party concerned would push for the issue and if parliamentary representatives pressure, the region government is expected to release the original report.

Yangon Watch has also urged Anti-Corruption Commission to expose the absence of regional audit report
