Visa on arrival for Indian travelers takes effect in Myanmar on Dec-1

The flight travelers from India holding ordinary passports were allowed entering Myanmar through visa on arrival, said a source from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population.

The Indian flight passengers holding ordinary passports must apply for visa on arrival at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports. 

Business visa can get stay for 70 days and it costs USD 50. Visa as to workshop, seminar, meeting and research can get 28 days and it costs USD 40. Transit visa can get stay for 24 hours and it costs USD 20. Driver visa can get stay for 28 days and it costs USD 40. 

“We already allowed 53 countries to enter Myanmar through visa on arrival. Now India will be the fifty-fourth country entering Myanmar through visa on arrival. Only Indian travelers coming to Myanmar by air have been allowed. They can enter Myanmar from the routes of Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw,” said an official of the Ministry of Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population.

Myanmar granted visa exemption to the world travelers from Japan and ROK on October 1. Moreover, the Chinese including Hong Kong and Macao were also allowed to enter Myanmar through visa on arrival. 

The passengers from Japan and ROK do not need to apply visa in Myanmar. Visa exemption was granted on October 1. They can get stay for 30 days, but their visa extension is not allowed. These travelers can enter Myanmar not only from the routes of Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw airports but also from border gates. 

The Chinese including Hong Kong and Macao were allowed to enter Myanmar through visa on arrival and visa fee is USD 50. They can apply for visa on arrival at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw airports, but their visa extension is not allowed. 

Myanmar has allowed 100 countries to apply E visa and 54 countries to apply visa on arrival.
