Measures are underway to repair the undamaged side of Ma Saw Bridge, which was attacked by mines on May 23, to allow access for small vehicles. Located near Taungkalay village in Bilin Township on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway, the bridge was damaged in the attack.

A representative from the Shwe Thanlwin Highway Company stated that the company is repairing the intact section of the bridge after security forces cleared the area on May 25. "Repairs are being carried out so that small vehicles can temporarily travel over the bridge. Once completed, small vehicles will be allowed to pass through," he said.

The Ma Saw Bridge was also bombed by a drone yesterday when officials came to inspect it for repairs. The 106-foot long and 24-foot wide bridge on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Highway in Bilin Township, Mon State, was heavily damaged on May 23. It is reported that two-thirds of the bridge collapsed into the creek.

Additionally, three motorcycles fell into the creek when the bridge was destroyed by mines, resulting in the death of one motorcyclist and serious injuries to another man and two women, according to social assistance and relief associations.
