Tiger Force Mandalay issued a press release on August 24, apologizing for the death of a couple, who were shot and killed while riding on a motorcycle in Mandalay.

The incident occurred on 30th Road between 56th and 57th streets in Chanayethazan Township at around 9 am on August 23.

The man was 43 years old U Sithu Ko Ko and the woman is 38 years old Ma Hnin Wai Hlaing.

However, in the initial reports, it appeared that the Police Major Soe Ko Ko and his wife had been killed.

"Dear people, the couple, who were killed on 30th Road between 56th and 57th streets, were not the Police Major from the CID but a hotel employee and her husband, and they were very upset because they accidentally shot the wrong people due to their scout team's weakness," announced Tiger Force Mandalay.

The couple died in the incident with gun wounds, and their funeral was held on August 24.
