Three women from Paung Township charged under anti-terrorism law

Three women from Ottan Tada Apyin village, Paung Township were charged under the anti-terrorism law according to local sources.

Daw Khin Than Nu, Daw Zin Mar Tun and Daw Sandar Lin were accused of providing assistance to NUG, CRPH, PDF.

“They were charged under Section 52 (Ka)/50 (Nya) at their respective township police station for communicating with and providing cash and food to NUG, CRPH, PDF and the failure to send PDF information to authorities,” according to sources close to security forces.

After the incident of policeman Ko Ko Lwin from Paung Township police station shot dead near San Hnakhwa bridge, Yangon-Mawlamyine Road on September 3, investigations were made at Ottan Tada Apyin village, Paung Township. At least 10 villagers were arrested. Daw Cho Win aka Khin Cho Win, Daw Khin Thida Kyaw aka Dar Lay and Po Cho were also arrested with anti-terrorism law.

On September 13, U Kyar Gyi, former militiamen from Yin Nyein Taung was also shot dead and concerning that case, eight locals were also arrested and interrogation was being made according to sources close to security sources.
