State Counsellor to visit Thailand to attend 34th ASEAN Summit

State Counsellor and Minister for Foreign Affairs Aung San Suu Kyi will visit Thailand to attend the 34th ASEAN Summit held in Bangkok, announced the State Counsellor Office on June 18.

The announcement said the State Counsellor will visit Thailand soon to attend the ASEAN Summit by the invitation of Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, a retired Royal Thai Army general officer.

The summit will be held in Bangkok from June 20 to 23 to discuss regional affairs.

The State Counsellor paid a goodwill visit to Czech Republic by the invitation of its Prime Minister Andrej Babiš from June 2 to 4.

She also paid a working visit to Hungary from June 5 to 6 after her Czech trip.
