Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chair of State Administration Council (SAC) and Prime Minister, urges all ethnic armed groups and stakeholders to be careful not to deviate from the NCA peace process for various reasons in his message sent to the 74th Kachin State Day Celebrations, which fall on January 10.

The senior general said the country is committed to peace and stability and he would like to inform that this is a very important time for national spirit as the country is developing and building democracy. The beautiful and resource-rich Kachin State has not been able to fully enjoy its natural beauty due to the armed conflict, and natural resources have not been used effectively for the state's development.

In addition, effective implementation of development activities can only be effective if there is stability, peace and the rule of law in the area. The ethnic people living in Kachin State, who have already experienced the taste of peace, are still desperate for peace and he believes that a lasting peace can be achieved as soon as possible. The state was working to build a union based on democracy and federalism in accordance with the wishes of all ethnic peoples, he said.

At the same time, the key to the development of a genuine and disciplined multi-party democracy and the development of the country is peace and the rule of law, stability and lasting peace. Therefore, the government is focusing on the development of the peace process and the long-term and balanced development of all ethnics, he said.

For the success of the peace process, relevant organizations and stakeholders need to have the right attitude and have the same aspirations. The government is doing its best to prevent the peace process from being affected. He called on the people to be vigilant in the spirit of nationalism to all those involved with the ethnic armed groups to be careful of acts of terrorism, acts of vandalism, domestic and foreign instruments, and media incitement so that the NCA does not deviate from the peace process due to various reasons.

It is well known that if there is no peace and stability in the country, the building of a union based on democracy and federalism and the development of the nation will still be a long way off. In doing good for the country, he said it could not be done with a person or a group, but with a united force based on the national spirit of all ethnic peoples.

In addition, he fully believes that any obstacles, crisis and challenge can be overcome firmly with the spirit of patriotism based on the true spirit of union among the ethnic nationalities for the country and the nation. The government is combating people, who do not want stability and peace in the country, incitement made by terrorist groups against the government and the danger of terrorist attacks and destruction, urging the ethnic people to cooperate. Today is a time of lasting peace for the whole country, which is essential for the establishment of a union based on democracy and federalism, which the people aspire to, he said.
