Some administrative officials shot at tea shop in Dagon Seikkan, garment factory manager shot dead in Hlinethayar

Some ward administrative officials were shot as they sit at a tea shop in Dagon Seikkan Township, Yangon Region, while the manager of a garment factory in Hlinethayar Township was shot and killed, according to local sources.

The shootings in Dagon Seikkan Township occurred at the tea shop situated at the corner of Ponami Street and Kankawmyaing Street in Ward No.88 at around 8am today.

Two unidentified men arrived at the tea shop on separate motorbikes and opened fire on the administrator of Ward No.88 and members while they were having tea, nearby residents said.

The administrator and his two members as well as two others sitting at the tea shop sustained gunshot wounds, and were sent to a hospital.

The shootings occurred at the tea shop on the corner of Ponami Street and Kankawmyaing Street. They were sitting at the tea shop. Two others were also wounded. They have been sent to hospital, a local resident said.  

Moreover, local residents in Hlinethayar Township said the manager of Rui Ning Myanmar Garment Factory in Ngwepinle Industrial Zone was shot dead in the passenger seat of a staff ferry bus.

He was shot and killed as his ferry stopped for a red light at the traffic lights near the entrance of Aleywa at about 7am on November 9.
