Security forces and ARSA terrorists clash in border area

Security forces and ARSA terrorists clashed in Myanmar-Bangladesh border area in Maungdaw Township on the evening of June 4, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Secretary of Tatmadaw True News Information Team.

The terrorists attacked the security forces that are providing security in border area, at a place between border posts BP-34 and 35.

The terrorists came back from Miedote Village to the border area encountered with border guards and they fought for about half an hour before retreated to southeast wards, he said.

The security forces found two bodies wearing the uniforms of the ARSA terrorists, two guns and ammunitions. Some border guards had injuries in the fighting, he said.

The security forces are providing security along Myanmar-Bangladesh border to have rules of law and security in Rakhine State.

The ARSA terrorists group is operating in the border areas and they frequently clashed with security forces.

The army and Arakan Army (AA) are also clashed in northern Rakhine State.
