Myanmar vocalist Sai Sai Kham Hlaing was invited for Asean Japan Music Festival 2019 in Vietnam, organized by the Japan Foundation Asia Center.

He participated in the festival on July 28 at the Vietnam National Convention Center in Hanoi.

Singers across Asean countries and Japan participated in the festival. Together with Sai Sai Kham Hlaing, four vocalists from Japan, three from Vietnam, and Brunei, Indonesia, Laos and Thailand.

It is hoped that through the music festival, mutual understanding can be deepened by sharing contemporary Asian pop music as well as stimulate collaborative relationships among Asian countries in the future.

The title of the  music festival was "ASEAN-Japan Music Festival 2019 in VIETNAM ―prayer for peace―," co-sponsoring with the Vietnam Television (VTV).The musical festival was televised in Vietnam.

The festival is within the “Asian Resonance 2019” cultural series organized by the Japan Foundation Asia Center’s Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam. It’s also a special event to celebrate “ASEAN- Japanese Day”, initiated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the Japan-ASEAN Summit last year.
