Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson for the State Administration Council (SAC), emphasized that if there are any instances of forced recruitment or individuals being coerced into serving as porters, the provided phone numbers can be contacted at any time for complaints.

When the military service law was enacted, exile media and various organizations propagated rumors that every young man must immediately join the army and carry out military missions. In response to these concerns, the Central Body for Summoning Military Servants and the Press Release Teams were established.

“We have provided contact phone numbers to address these rumors and directly engage with the public,” explained Major General Zaw Min Tun. “We clarified that these rumors were unfounded and that individuals only need to serve in their turn. We also explained the rationale behind their responsibility for national defense. Despite our efforts, certain media outlets continued to spread baseless rumors about the disappearance and arrest of young people, as well as the forced recruitment of new soldiers and porters.”

He further emphasized, “If you have accurate information about such incidents, please report the details, including the responsible parties and organizations. You can use the provided phone numbers to contact us anytime and seek clarification.”

The government remains committed to ensuring socio-economic security, bolstering national political and economic strength, and enhancing national defense capabilities. However, Major General Zaw Min Tun acknowledged that some media outlets and organizations persistently disseminate rumors and threats, intending to create public panic.

Amidst the information age, certain media outlets persistently sow anxiety and panic among the populace. Additionally, threats from entities like the National Unity Government (NUG), the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), and some Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) warrant discernment. In response, citizens are urged to stand united and exercise wisdom.

To prevent public confusion stemming from rumors related to the military service law, the State Administration Council (SAC) has proactively released contact phone numbers for the Central Body for Summoning Military Servants. These numbers—067-3404911, 3404922, 3404933, 3404944, and 3404955—are available for inquiries and complaints.

Furthermore, the SAC has taken decisive action by announcing that telephone numbers associated with harassment will be meticulously recorded, and the corresponding SIM cards will be promptly deactivated.
