Police seizes over 100,000 stimulant tablets in Mdy

Police seized over 100,000 stimulant tablets in Mandalay Region on January 27 and 28, sources from the regional police force said.

Police was checking vehicles at Kyaukchaw checkpoint in Patheingyi Township on January 27 and found 100,000 WY tablets from Sai Tun Oo and Nan Lu Sein on a passenger bus. The police detained two men and two women in related with the WY tablets. They confessed that they have been hired to carry the stimulant tablets from a man lived in Mongshu to Yangon. He paid them K3 million.

Police also seized 1,950 stimulant tablets from two motorcyclists at a restaurant in Kyaukse Township on January 28 as they received a tip-off about the drug. The police also arrested Zin Ko Ko Oo aka Zin Ko for possession of 1,930 WY tablets from his trousers pocket and house.
