Paung Township Police Station, the office of Paung Township Police Force and the office of Administrative Department were bombed by drones yesterday evening.

“The bomb exploded at the outside of the police station. After the drone attacks, the members of security force in the compound of the police station returned fire. We know that an unknown armed group opened fire on the police station from the mountain of Sutaungpyae pagoda situated in the east of the police station. We heard a loud explosion around 5pm of August 27. A few minutes later, we heard gunfire. However, the shooting stopped around 5:30pm,” said a civilian living near the police station.

Another resident also said that the office of Paung Township Police Force was attached to the police station. Moreover, Paung Township Administrative Office and Paung Township Court were situated near the police station.

Moreover, the Paung Township Police Force’s office and Police Station were attacked by drop bombs on the evening of September 3 of 2022.
