Oxygen plant capable of producing 10 40-liter oxygen cylinders per hour arrives in Myeik

An oxygen plant capable of producing 10 40-liter oxygen cylinders per hour has arrived in Myeik and will be operational within four days, sources said.

The plant, which can produce 10 40-liter cylinders per hour, arrived at the Myeik General Hospital on August 25 and began installation. The NZO-60 NM will be operational within four days.

"It can produce 10 oxygen cylinders per hour. Priority will be given to patients who are being treated at the hospital. If only we can figure out the daily production capacity by the running time of the machine. The building for the plant is complete. We can produce the oxygen by the end of the month,” said an official.

It can fulfill the need of oxygen in Myeik caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 in Myeik district. In addition to the plant, another oxygen plant is being built in Botechaung Village in the township and will be completed next month.
