National League for Democracy (NLD) won the 2020 general election not the COVID-19 support fund but a trust from people over the party, said Dr Zaw Myint Maung, Vice Chair (2) of the party on November 17 in a press conference held via zoom application.

“What I want to say is we won the election because of the COVID-19 support fund. The decision, trust and hope from people made us win the election,” he said.

Every country supported its citizens with COVID-19 relief fund and in the United States, Donald Trump provided US$40,000 as COVID-19 relief fund to his people but he lost the election, he said.

Moreover the NLD competed in the election sincerely in line with law, he continued.

“Wining or losing in the election depends on people and their desires,” he said.

He still accepted that the NLD won the election as people cast votes for the NLD entirely.

So the NLD will join hands with any organizations to do tasks which will be beneficial for people and the country.
