Myanmar found 2,635 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on August 26 bringing total number of patients to 383,514, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health.

A total of 12,249 samples are tested between 8 pm of August 25 and 8 pm of August 26 and found 2,635 patients. 113 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 14,850, according to a report from the ministry.

It said 429 samples tested in labs under the ministry, 8 samples tested using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states, 13 samples tested at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, 59 samples tested at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, 32 samples tested at private hospitals and labs, 449 samples tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states and 1,645 samples tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in public health departments in regions and states, are found infected with the virus.

A total of 3,471,394 samples are tested till August 26 and 2,920 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing total number to 311,952, it said.
