Myanmar and Pakistan discussed enhancing scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries, according to sources.

The discussions were held on May 7 during a meeting between Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Mr. Tariq Karim, at the Ministry of Science and Technology in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in science and technology, technological advancement, human resource development, and the development of the IT sector.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Nay Chi Lai Lai Thein, ministry officials, and officials from the Embassy of Pakistan in Myanmar.
