Myanmar increases from a gathering of 100 to 200: MOH

A total of 200 people were allowed to gather instead of 100 people as COVID-19 infection is declined, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on December 30.

On October 29, 2021, the MOH issued Order No. 479/2021 not to gather more than 100 people except for exceptional cases to prevent the spread of the disease in relation to the current prevention of COVID-19.

It said up to 200 people will be allowed to gather from January 1, 2022, instead of 100 people scheduled for religious ceremonies and religious / funeral matters.

Failure to comply with the orders / directives issued by the MOH and the Department of Public Health will be punished in accordance with the existing law.
