A dramatic pile-up involving three vehicles occurred near the Hnarpauk toll gate on the Yadanarbon Bridge on the Sagaing-Mandalay Highway.

The incident took place around 8:48 am on February 23, as reported by the Myanmar Fire Services Department.

A six-wheeled Mitsubishi Canter experienced brake failure and collided with a Suzuki Carry from the front. The Mitsubishi Canter then crashed into a Super Custom vehicle. As if that wasn’t enough, the same Mitsubishi Canter went on to collide with a Nissan.

Thankfully, emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene. The Amarapura Fire Services Department, along with auxiliary fire members from the Bonoh Fire Services Department and various social organizations, worked diligently to rescue a man trapped in the Mitsubishi Canter’s driver’s seat.

By 9:05 am, they successfully freed him. Although slightly injured, he was promptly transported to Mandalay Hospital via a vehicle provided by the Thanwaygan Nyana social organization.
