The Monitoring Committee for Ministerial Performance to write and submit reports on performances of chief ministers, region and state ministers to the party will be formed, Dr Zaw Myint Maung, Vice-Chairman-2 of the National League for Democracy (NLD).

The remarks of Dr Zaw Myint Maung came from his reply to the question of the reporters after the CEC meeting of the NLD in Nay Pyi Taw on December 9.

In our party side, government chief ministers are party members. Can they do their duties or not. The ministers are also party members. Ministers and chief ministers are all party members. A committee will be formed and it is to write and submit reports on the performances of parliamentarians, ministers and chief ministers, said Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

The previous chief ministers had to write monthly reports and submit them to the President Office. Moreover they had to write political and business reviews as well, said Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

If the monitoring committee is formed, the chief ministers do not need to write reports themselves. For this the monitoring committee will have to write reports on ministerial performances, said Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

Each person from the central committee, the central women’s committee, the central youth committee, the regional level men’s committee and the regional level women’s committee is to be formed. Our selection depends on the party, the youth and the women. They will have to monitor what the chief ministers and the ministers are doing. Moreover, they will have to ask the constituencies if the parliamentarians had been to their representing constituencies. They will have to write the reviews regarding the chief ministers and the ministers as well as the parliamentarians, said Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

The election review report has been submitted. We will discuss what we would like to amend as to the party at the CEC meetings, said Dr Zaw Myint Maung.
