Japanese embassy temporarily halts phone appointments, shifts to online booking only

The Embassy of Japan in Yangon announced that due to the increase in the number of applications for Japanese entry visas, advance appointments over the phone have been temporarily suspended and they are only being accepted online booking through e-mail.

At this time, there are a lot of applications for entry visas. Therefore, to make it easier for applicants, the Japanese Embassy has temporarily stopped making appointments by telephone and is currently only accepting applications by e-mail, the announcement said.

It may take some time to reply by e-mail when making such an appointment in advance, but if the embassy receives an e-mail, it will reply without delay. They will inform the public again when the appointment makes by telephone, the Japanese Embassy announced.

Japan is one of the countries where workers from Myanmar go to work, and they need to learn to speak Japanese in order to go to work.
