A homemade mine explosion took place on Baung Gyi bridge, Mandalay-Moegyoke Highway, near Tanga Taung village, Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, on October 13 in which a local was killed and another one was seriously injured according to local sources.

U Htwe from Tanga Taung village and Kyaw Moe Lwin from Shan Myaung village on their way back home experienced the homemade mine explosion near the bridge.

Due to the explosion, U Htwe died on the spot and Kyaw Moe Lwin was seriously injured in his stomach, it is reported.
