A homeless man died after vomiting blood at Kyaikwaing Pagoda bus stop in Mayangon Township, Yangon Region, this morning.

Members of a local welfare organization went to the scene after receiving information that a man was lying on the ground after having vomited blood at the bus stop in Ward No.3 in Mayangon Township at about 9 am today.

“We went there after we were informed about that. When we arrived there, the man had already died,” said an official from Golden History Emergency Rescue and Social Welfare Organization.

The dead man, aged about 50, is said to be homeless.

“We found some pieces of baggage near him. It is learnt that as a homeless man, he was living in the streets. His dead body was sent to a hospital,” the official added.

 He reportedly died of his underlying health conditions, and no bodily harm was found.
