Door-to-door health checks conducted in four most-affected wards in Insein Township

Yangon—As a measure to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Sports conducted door-to-door health checks on more than 50,000 people in four wards of Insein Township which reported the COVID-19 cases mostly, on 6 May.

U Soe Aung, Administrator of East Gyogone ward said: “It is classified into 22 groups in the ward. A health staff and a volunteer have to conduct health checks on 70 houses. A total of 41 health staff and 82 volunteers are involved in the fieldworks. They conducted thermal screening and asked the questions door to door. There are more 2,890 households and more than 2,600 houses. The situation is good.”

“The health checks were conducted in the most-affected townships—East Gyogone, West Gyogone, East Ywama and Taungthugone wards,” said Regional MP U Wai Phyo Han from Insein Township Constituency-1.

The door-to-door health checks were jointly conducted by health staff, volunteers, departmental officials and administrative bodies.

For the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, the fever clinic opens at Insein Township Hall from Monday to Friday.
