Yang Zeqi, a Chinese model and actor, reportedly went missing after traveling to the Thai-Myanmar border for a film project. According to Thai news agencies on January 9, Yang flew from Beijing, China, to Bangkok, Thailand, on December 20 last year. From Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, he was reportedly transported by car to the Thai-Myanmar border.
Yang’s friends revealed that he sent messages on December 21 expressing feelings of distress. Later, on December 29, he contacted his mother online, assuring her of his safety but appeared with visible injuries on his face, according to her statement.
Authorities continue to investigate his disappearance, raising concerns about his well-being and circumstances leading to the incident.
Then, on December 30, after Chinese actress and model Yang Zeqi lost contact with hir phone, Thai media reported that hir family and relatives had contacted Chinese police, the Chinese embassies in Thailand and Myanmar to report her release.
Thai media reported that the incident was similar to the recent release of Chinese actress Wang Xing, who was trafficked.

He was found in Myawaddy District, Myanmar, on the Thai-Myanmar border, on January 7, and was handed over to China after being picked up by a Thai police chief.
