China has said it supports the speedy pursuit of legal consultations on Myanmar.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said about it in regular press conference held on November 16.

He said China is a good neighbor of Myanmar. He called on all Myanmar parties to seek a speedy political solution through consultation within the framework of the constitution and the rule of law.

Recently, Sun Guoxiang, Special Envoy of Chinese Foreign Ministry for Asia Affairs, met with Chairman of the State Administrative Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to discuss Myanmar-ASEAN relations. They also discussed ASEAN-China relations.

According to a press release from the Myanmar side, the State Administration Council (SAC) is implementing the five-point plan and nine-point plan, and is working to move forward firmly on the path of multi-party democracy chosen by the people. They had a cordial exchange of views on relations between Myanmar and ASEAN member states, the state of relations between China and ASEAN, Myanmar's internal peace process and China's assistance.

Sun Guoxiang has visited Myanmar twice since the political transition.
