A rally led by the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) was held at Tabaung Ground in front of the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw on May 16 to welcome and support the peace process and to denounce the foreign interference.

The bomb exploded while people are gathering at the rally site near Yan Aung Myin village in Dekkhinathiri Township to support the peace process and to denounce the foreign interference.

"I heard a bomb exploded in the morning when a crowd was gathering near the village. I haven’t heard of any injuries,” said a resident of Yan Aung Myin village.

About 10,000 people, including members of political parties and families of veterans, have joined the rally to welcome and support the peace process and to denounce the foreign interference.
