Aviation authorities to visit Australia to check Biman airline black box

Aviation authorities will pay a visit to Australia to check the black box of Biman Bangladesh airline plane, which had an accident at Yangon International Airport in this month, on June 8, sources said.

“The ministry has formed an aircraft investigation board to know about the cause of the accident and the result of the cause is not come out yet. We will discuss about it with aviation authorities from Bangladesh. The board members will visit Australia to check the black box,” said Ye Htut Aung, Deputy Director General of the DCA on May 29.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying six crew members and 28 passengers skidded off the runway on landing at the YIA in the evening of May 8, injuring 19 people including its five crew members.

Due to the plane accident, Yangon International Airport suspended its operations and reopened its runway at around 9 pm.

The plane was flying from Dhaka to Yangon and carrying 34 people including six crew members and 28 passengers on board.
