An explosion rocked the Sule pedestrian bridge in Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region, on the night of March 27, leaving three people injured. The incident occurred near Sule Square, a bustling area atop the pedestrian bridge.

A witness from Kyauktada Township reported, “The blast happened on the Sule pedestrian bridge. However, no one cannot go the scene. Although there were injuries, we remained unaware of the exact count.”

Initial reports indicate that the victims were homeless individuals residing near the overpass. Among the injured, a man sustained serious injuries. The sound of the explosion reverberated across neighboring townships, including Botahtaung, Pazundaung, Thaketa, and Dawbon.
