Aviation authorities are continuing the expansion of the new cargo terminal owned by Mingalardon Cargo Services (MCS) at Yangon International Airport (YIA), sources said.

It will stock up all export and import cargos and can provide high quality aviation cargo services.

The expansion work is expected to last about 14 months.

At present, only the MCS is providing a service in Myanmar to export cargos internationally via air and MC-Jalux Airport Service Co. Ltd. is building a new cargo terminal at Mandalay International Airport to provide cargo services widely.

If the cargo terminal in Mandalay International Airport is opened, Myanmar will have two cargo terminals to handle cargo services.

It can help to send fruits and flowers from middle and upper areas of Myanmar and handiworks and industrial products from upper areas of Myanmar in a short time.

The MCS is a subsidiary of Htoo Group of Companies and it is under the supervision of Myanmar National Airlines, Department for Civil Aviation and Ministry of Transport and Communications.
