U Sit Aye, the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, delivered a speech on January 19 at a quarterly coordination meeting of all the departments under the commission.

He emphasized that corruption is a crime that only those with authority have the opportunity to commit, and therefore, all public servants should strive to be honest and free from corruption.

He also praised the government’s efforts to increase production and develop the country’s economy, and highlighted the commission’s activities in 2023, such as anti-corruption awareness lectures, promotion of integrity education, formation of Corruption Prevention Units, and implementation of public feedback programs.

He urged the employees of the commission to follow the code of conduct and the code of ethics of the national civil service, and to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
