AA, TNLA and MNDAA commit war crime in northern Shan State

The insurgents of the Arakan Army (AA), the Ta,ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) committed war crimes, blasting bridges and launching attacks on the houses of the residents with heavy weapons, the Office of Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services reported on August 17.

The report of the Tatmadaw said that three RPGs were fired at the local battalion in Kyaukme Township in northern Shan State on August 16 night and Tatmadaw military columns fought back the insurgents and the latter retreated in the west. The 41-mile reinforced concrete bridge on Nantsalat-Kunlon was destroyed at about 3 pm on August 17, Mongtonsun bridge at about 4.30 pm. The 41-mile bridge collapsed and the floor of Mongtonsun bridge was damaged and that led to the disruption of the transport and communications.

Five clashes broke out between Tatmadaw restoring security and prevalence of law and order and the insurgents of the AA, the TNLA and the MNDAA in and around Kutkai-Nantphatkar-Muse area. Moreover, ten clashes broke out  between Tatmadaw military taking security measures and the insurgents of the AA, the TNLA and the MNDAA on Lashio-Theinni-Kutkai Union Highway on August 17.

Tatmadaw military columns fought back the insurgents numbering about 200 who were coming to attack Lashio on August 17 and the latter retreated with lots of causalities. Moreover, a motorcycle driven by two men heading to Nantpharkar from Muse was stopped and arrested and they came to fire at Nantphatkar in the unguarded moment. Tatmadaw arrested a TNLA insurgent and seized one RPG and a rocket, the report of the Tatmadaw.
